Linked to God each moment

No we do not need to pray to God for many hours to know and attain God. The truth is that we need to pray to God each moment and every second of our daily lives to reach and attain God.

Each moment? Wow! But man what about our families, jobs and duties? Won’t it ruin what we call the worldly life?

Hold on! No one is asking you to become a monk or stay in seclusion to pray to God each moment. There is a method revealed by Lord Krishna in the Gita by which one can remain linked to God each moment without in the least disturbing the worldly life. In fact in this method one need not bring even the slightest change in the daily routine that one is following. One has to continue to do exactly what one has been doing all along.

This amazing method can be practiced each and every moment simply because it is based on one’s actions. And as you know that actions occur from the body each moment. And in this method one has to renounce each action to God. God is eating, God is working, God is taking a bath, God is driving, God is cooking, God is talking, God is thinking, God is dressing up, God is rising from the bed, God is going to sleep, God is listening to music, God is watching a movie, God is drinking.

Each action of the day can through this method be made into a prayer offered to God. And as this is to be done in the mind and not spoken aloud it does not interfere with one’s worldly life. In fact the other so called religious or spiritual acts can also be included and one can say God is meditating, God is singing hymns or God is performing this ritual. What more even the seemingly most absurd actions happening from the body like sneezing, coughing can be used as a prayer to God by saying within that God is sneezing or God is coughing.

But the important question is what is the effect of this method?

Lord Krishna reveals in the Bhagavad Gita that by renouncing each action to God man becomes free from worries, tension, diseases, old age and even death. All his wishes are fulfilled for he has to even renounce thoughts of desire by saying that God is making this wish. In fact the more actions one renounces in the day the more and better results one gets. This amazingly simple yet most powerful method and the wisdom behind it has been explained in great detail by Shashi Verma in his book You Are God. Log on to www.highestwisdom.com to know more about this unique method to link to God each and every moment of the day.

God realisation is self realisation

What is self realisation?

Not difficult to answer one would say. To know the self is self realisation.

Fine and very correct. But what is the self? Who are we? And how can we know the self?

These questions have baffled mankind since ages and even after the advent of so many philosophies and religions there are no clear cut answers. Some say something and others says something. There are no definite answers anywhere. Or may be there are but they are hidden in the heap of so many philosophies.

Lord Krishna starts his discourse that came to be known as the Bhagavad Gita by revealing what is the self. There is no need for me to try to decipher his words for you. Why not read and try yourself.

He begins by saying that all bodies are embodied by the all-pervading indestructible.

Again without trying to thrust my own ideas upon you, let me ask you, whom do we regard as the all-pervading indestructible?

Without doubt all the Holy Scriptures be it the Bible, Koran, Guru Granth Sahib or the Upanishads use this term for the entity which we call God.

Now we were trying to solve the mystery of the self. From where did God pop in. He is another mystery which baffles us.

If you also feel so then go back to the afore mentioned words of Lord Krishna. He says that all bodies are embodied by the all-pervading indestructible.

What conclusion does it lead us to?

It is but very clear that he is saying that God lives in each body. In fact he goes on to say that each being is the fragment of God.

Does it mean that the self and God are same? And does it mean that when we talk about self realisation we are talking about God realisation?

By starting his discourse with the information that God lives in every body. Lord Krishna is trying to tell us that the self or soul and God are the same. And when we are talking about self realisation, we are actually speaking about knowing and realising that we are actually God and not humans or men/women.

Lord Krishna says that the self can be known, hold your breath, through Vigyan. Vigyan of course means science. In other words there is a definite science or a practical way by which the self can be known. And this science he declares in no unclear terms is very much different from the rituals we follow in the name of religion.

This Vigyan or science of the self has been explained in very clear terms in the book You Are God by Shashi Verma which is based on the Bhagavad Gita. Log on to www.highestwisdom.com to know more about this amazing science of the self.

Everything by God’s will

In the world where we live it is the pairs of opposites that determine and rule. Good and evil, ugly and beautiful, sin and virtue, joy and sorrow, gain and loss, victory and defeat. And the human mind invariably gets affected by these opposites. It praises and appreciates the good or some thing it likes and it criticises and hates the evil or some thing it dislikes.

And these opposite feelings for the good and evil affect us in a negative way. It makes the mind pine and crave for the good or that it likes. And when the craving is not satisfied it leads to frustration. Lord Krishna suggests a way out when he says that by regarding alike all opposites one should join the battle of life. Thus one incurs no sin.

Sin?

Is it a sin to recognise the opposites and regard a thing as good and some thing else as evil?

Sure seems like it, for in the Holy Scripture Guru Granth Sahib it is said –

Hukame andar har koi, Bahar Hukam Na Koi

Everything in the world is happening by the will of God and nothing is outside his will. That means very clearly that everything is happening by the will of God. And if it is so what right do we have to judge anything or anyone? If it is so then it means by regarding some thing as evil we are criticising the will of God by which everything is happening here.

Some might question how evil can happen by the will of God. Well is it not said that even a leaf cannot move without God’s will? Then can so many so-called evil things happen without his will?

In fact there is nothing good or evil as such. It is only due to individual conditioning of mind that one regards some things as good and some others as evil. According to Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita thinking in terms of good and evil leads to attachment to the good and evil and ultimately to death. But when one is free of attachment to the opposites then one is protected even from the greatest fear, that is, death. So Lord Krishna advises the beings to regard all happenings as alike and not be moved by them.

But how can this state of mind be achieved? Normally, as soon as we see something wrong happening in the world we start protesting against it or criticising it. Or we form thoughts of abhorrence.

How can this be prevented and how can one attain a non-judgmental state of mind?

For this Lord Krishna suggests a very wonderful and powerful practice, which he calls the Supreme Secret. The essence of this practice is to consider all actions as those of God or by the will of God and not of individual beings. When this happens the mind does not get attached to the nature of the action or its goodness or badness.

This results in supreme peace, happiness and freedom from worries, diseases and even old age and death. To know more about this practice read the book

Solution from within

Life is full of so many problems, which we keep tackling throughout, trying our best to overcome them. However although life comes to an end these problems never cease to exist and continue to harass the generations coming after us. Progress in science and technology sure has made life easier but it has not come anywhere near finding permanent solutions to our problems, which though existing outside are more related to the state of one’s mind.

For example one might be having tax related problems. It does seem like a problem that is affecting one from the outside. But a careful analysis proves that even though the cause is outside, the tension, the worry arises within, and it is related to the way one takes the problem. It is not the problem but its perception and the related tension and worrying that disturb us. There are some people who worry without any real reason. They just get into the habit of worrying. While some in a similar situation will let go and not worry at all. But in some other situations the later too are not able to remain unaffected and are swayed by the problems resulting in tension and worries.

What if one were able to keep a peaceful mind in every situation? Would it not help us tackle our problems better? Would it not help us take our failures in a lighter vein thus preventing unnecessary heartburns and even health problems?

In the Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna says that attachment is the cause of all misery in life. And attachment could be to anything – an object, a problem or a person. So what does Lord Krishna suggest? He says that once a being is free from attachment, he acts with his senses under control and attains peace. And in peace all his problems are destroyed.

He points out that the root cause of attachment is the ego which forces us to think this problem is mine, I am facing this problem, I will incur loss, I have to find its solution or there is threat of failure in my life. These thoughts of ego delude the mind resulting in tension and worries.

Lord Krishna says that by destroying the ego and the resultant attachment, a being attains true and lasting peace. Then success or failure cannot disturb him. He then goes on to suggest a very powerful practice by using which the beings can attain a state where all their desires are fulfilled automatically. Just think how wonderful it would be to find that one’s problems are getting solved on their own. Such a state would mean peace of mind and better physical health and longer life too.

This wisdom and the practice given by Lord Krishna have been elucidated in the book You Are God by Shashi Verma. To know more about this wonderful book and the wisdom contained in it log on to www.highestwisdom.com

You can bring the new age

A lot has been written about the so-called new age. Some thinkers and scholars have even predicted dates when the new age would set in. It is believed that things on earth shall undergo a major upheaval for the better in the new age and peace and harmony shall reign supreme in this era.

These announcements could be based on astrological calculations or intuitive insights from higher souls or planes. But most of them are consistent in their predictions regarding the change that would take place. Life shall be happier. Man shall become loving and tolerant. All will work for the betterment of the entire mankind rather than for individual goals. There shall be no wars. There shall be cure for all ailments. Worries and tension shall disappear. And the list is endless.

To many it sounds like utopia. Something that is virtually impossible. But if we value the words of our prophets, then we realise that there is mention of such a new age in the holy scriptures too. Any way it does sound quite good that so many nice changes shall occur. But the important question is how shall this happen? Will it happen on its own or shall we have to make a conscious effort for it?

In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna says that whenever there is loss of righteousness in the world the Supreme Lord appears to set things right. In the present age God has descended in the form of the Supreme Truth. Now what is this Supreme Truth?

The Supreme Truth is said to be God and it is said that by accepting it and realising it a being becomes one with God. And when this happens, demoniac traits like greed, jealousy, hatred, selfishness, untruth, violence start to disappear and the Godly virtues like love, compassion, selflessness start to spring forth. And quite obviously when this happens the end result is an age of true and lasting peace and happiness on the earth.

In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna has revealed a secret supreme path by following which the Supreme Truth can be known and realised very easily in the same life time. All the humans have to do is take to this path and see how quickly the predictions of the new age come true. This very path has been explained for the common man by Shashi Verma in his book You Are God. Nothing remains incurable

Every year we see some new disease coming to the fore to cause further anguish to the already harassed human race. And to counter it, billions of precious dollars are spent in research and cure. But not all are successful. Some ailments continue to baffle the best of scientists and researchers even after years of research. AIDS, cancer, diabetes and many other ailments have no cure at all. Nor does there seem to be any hope in the future.

And with the environment problems on the rise, we can be sure that more ailments and physical problems are going to appear in the future. Is mankind then destined to keep suffering thus?

The famous spiritual master Guru Nanak made a very amazing comment. He said that the name of God is the cure of all diseases. In other words by adopting the name of God all ailments can be removed.

But we all keep reciting many names of God or the prophets we worship. In the West Jesus is a name that is there on every lip. In the Middle East the holy word Allah is uttered reverently by all. And in the East and Far East the names like Krishna, Ram, Buddha and Mahavir are chanted most ceremoniously. But none of the devotees are totally free from diseases.

Then what is the name Guru Nanak has talked about? If we study the holy text Guru Granth Sahib, the mystery is unravelled and it is said that the name of God is the Supreme Truth and by giving place to the Truth in one’s heart and mind one becomes free of all problems of life, including diseases, forever. And not just the so-called curable but even the incurable diseases are rooted out forever.

What is this Supreme Truth about which Guru Nanak has talked?

In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna reveals the Supreme Truth which is God. He says that the Supreme Truth is that all we see and feel around us is God. All forms are of God. All beings are God. But this is just information. Just learning it does not work. One has to realise the Supreme Truth that all is God. And when this happens then the supreme light of God removes all ailments from one’s physical form.

But what is the way to this realisation? This too has been explained by Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita and this wonderful way or practice has been revealed in recent times after many thousand years. This practice that can end all your problems and cure your diseases forever is there waiting for you in the book You Are God written by Shashi Verma. Why has God eluded us?

There is hardly any person in the world who does not worship God or some divine power, considering it to be God. Many atheists too secretly offer prayers or show devotion to some higher power. But in spite of so many places of worship, so many faiths, so many ways of showing devotion, there is hardly any peace and joy in the lives of the mankind inhabiting the planet earth. We sing hymns, offer prayers, do good deeds and even offer charity, all in the name of God, but still our lives continue to be haunted by the ghosts of worries, tensions, diseases and sorrows.

If worship of God cannot bring one peace and joy, then of what use is such worship? Most of the scriptures, be it the Bible, the Bhagavad Gita, Koran or the Guru Granth Sahib, clearly state that one who knows God, one who worships God is free of worries and his or her life is filled with joy and happiness. If the words written in these scriptures are of God and these are true, then the existing miserable state of mankind forces us to the definite conclusion that we do not know the right method of offering prayers to God!

This is the very bitter truth to which Lord Krishna tries to wake us up through his teachings recorded in the Bhagavad Gita. He says clearly that all methods of worshipping, all meditations, all philosophies and all moral mores are useless. And then he goes on to say that there is but one supreme way of reaching God and attaining everlasting peace, joy and freedom from all miseries.

This very right method of worshipping God has been revealed for the very first time in a non-cryptic and simple language by the author Shashi Verma in the book You Are God that interprets the words of Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita in a very novel way. And this method is so easy that it comes as a big surprise for all of us who have become firm in the belief that the way to God is paved with hardships and thorns.

In fact Lord Krishna shatters all existing myths by stating that God resides in the human being and those who torture the God living within by indulging in severe penances are totally deluded and can never know God. The method of uniting to God within as revealed by him in fact is so wonderful that it does not require anyone to bring about even the slightest change in one’s life or daily routine.

How to be good

The Holy Bible gives various commandments of God which require every follower of God to attain goodness in life. Among these are loving all beings including one’s enemies, following the truth, forgiveness and forbearance.

These teachings have been disseminated among the mankind for centuries and yet we find man constantly becoming prey to the passions of anger, jealousy, pride, hatred, violence and lust. What has gone wrong? Why have the words of God failed to change us? Or is it that we have actually misunderstood the message given by the prophets?

If there is one God, one creator/sustainer of the world, then that all the scriptures existing in the world carries the message of one God. If so, what is the harm in perceiving the true meaning of the words of God from any of these scriptures?

In the Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna says that God has himself assumed the human form and in this form he has two kinds of natures – one higher and the other lower. The lower nature of being/God has ego due to which he fails to know that he is God. In the lower nature exist all passions of desire, anger, jealousy, etc. But in the higher nature dwell the great virtues like love, compassion, forgiveness, kindness etc. Lord Krishna says that man is living with the lower nature having ego and resultant passions but has no knowledge of the higher nature that is devoid of the ego and looks at all beings as forms of the same God. That is why he fails to imbibe the higher virtues by sermons and teachings. In absence of the self-knowledge all the teachings to inculcate the higher virtues in fact would fail and this is what we have been witnessing all around the world for ages. In spite of the fact that all religions preach universal brotherhood, man is ever stooping lower into the bottomless pit of passions.

What then is the way to imbibe the higher nature of God? Lord Krishna says that one does not have to acquire each virtue by practicing it. The moment a person acquires the higher nature of God these virtues automatically flower in him. When the soul is united to the wisdom of God then on its own these higher virtues of God come to the fore.

This clearly means that instead of trying to imbibe these virtues, we should aim at attaining the higher nature of God, devoid of the ego. And in order to enable the human beings to do so, Lord Krishna has suggested a very easy but unfailing practice in the Bhagavad Gita. Although this practice has existed in the Bhagavad Gita for centuries, no one has been able to get to its true essence. This secret practice has now been elucidated in a very clear manner in the book You Are God by its author Shashi Verma. If you wish to witness the higher virtues reigning supreme in the world, then visit the website www.highestwisdom.com where this very potent practice has been explained in detail.

Where can God be found?

The famous poet saint of India, Kabir, once spoke a beautiful couplet that delves deep into the mystery of man and God. He said that the musk deer keeps roaming in the forest searching for the source of the tantalizing fragrance of musk that is within its very navel. Man too is fascinated by God and his divine powers, and for ages he has been searching for the Supreme everywhere. But like the deluded musk deer, he has failed to know God that is within him.

Giving the knowledge of God through the Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna reveals that the Supreme God resides in the hearts of all beings and He is knowledge and wisdom. Jesus Christ also said that God is a Word and all things have been created by the Word that is God. All the prophets were the messengers of the knowledge and wisdom that is God. In fact the very knowledge and wisdom given by the prophets is God. If this is the truth then are we not fools that we go about seeking God in temples, in places of pilgrimage and in mountains? This proves without doubt that we are totally deluded beings, who instead of believing in the words of a great incarnation like Lord Krishna keep trying our own means to find God.

And do you know what is most amusing? We go about worshipping Lord Krishna and have erected thousands of temples dedicated to him all over the world. We pray to him, sing hymns in his praise and make rich offerings in his temples. And yet in spite of all this we have ignored his words of wisdom, wherein he has very clearly told us that God is nowhere outside but he is inside and that He is knowledge and wisdom. Is it not a paradox that on the one hand we revere Lord Krishna so much and on the other we have not paid heed to his words of wisdom?

The truth that God is knowledge and wisdom and lives in one’s heart has come out in a very lucid manner in the wonderful book You Are God written by Shashi Verma. The book based on the teachings of Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita, brings to light the true meaning of the words of Lord Krishna for the first time. The author explains that every person can reach God by being devoted to the knowledge and wisdom given by the prophets of God. This will lead him to the Supreme God residing in his or her heart. One has to stop regarding all forms depicted in pictures and idols and has to instead worship the God within. And, hold your breath, by doing so one is able to see the supreme God which is in the form of divine light in just four weeks!

What is this method of devotion to God living in the heart that was revealed by Lord Krishna? To know more about this very easy method, lay your hands on the path breaking book You Are God - The Bhagavad Gita as never before; or log on to the website www.highestwisdom.com

A much better way

These days a therapy known as past life regression has become a big rage in the West where thousands of people claim that they have been able to remove crucial problems from their lives by peeking into their past lives and getting to the root cause of those problems. This amazing therapy is based on the law of Karma which states that the reason of our present problems lies in the actions or events of past lives. Those who have benefited by it say that when they actually see what event or action in the past life has resulted in some misery or problem in the present, they are able to overcome it.

But if one gives it a thought there appears a major drawback in this method. Suppose you suffer from a disease or physical problem. By past life regression you could get to its cause in the past life thus leading to a cure. But what about the other problems that might come later? Logically one would have to resort to past life regression for every problem that might appear in the future.

Of course there is no harm in this. But what if someone told you that there exists a better alternative that could free you of all Karmic debts at one go? Would it not be wonderful to put an end to all Karmas and be forever free of misery and suffering?

This wonderful alternative has been revealed in the Bhagavad Gita by Lord Krishna. He says that by following this path a being is not bound by actions or their fruits. Thus the effect of all Karmas is removed, for all actions are burnt forever by the fire of Gyan or the wisdom of God.

In the past life regression therapy there is yet another drawback. One might well overcome the effect of Karmas of past lives. But what about the actions of the present life? They will create their own Karmas and one shall have to account for those in this life or some future life.

But by the method suggested by Lord Krishna not only are all the past Karmas are destroyed rather even the actions done in the present life do not create Karmic debt. In other words one is permanently freed of the vicious cycle of Karmas.

This very method and the wisdom of God that can overcome all Karmas has been elucidated in the book You Are God authored by Shashi Verma. To know more about it log on to the website www.highestwisdom.com

Choose ego or God

We all talk about the ego and what it means. Most of us think that being proud or arrogant is egotism. But our scriptures give a completely different definition of ego. According to them, to think that ‘I exist’ and to think that ‘I am doing something’ or ‘I have to do something’ or ‘something belongs to me’ or ‘the fruits of actions belong to me’ signifies the presence of ego. As long as we have in us the ego in any of these forms we remain deluded by this divine delusion of God.

The ego deludes us to think that we and God are different; that we are ‘I’/men/women, different and separate from God. As against this Lord Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita that all the bodies are embodied by God and all beings are eternal and indestructible fragments of God. In other words God and the being are not different but all beings are forms of God or they are God. Verses 7:4-5 of the Bhagavad Gita reveal that the human form comprising of five gross elements (earth, water, fire, air and ether), mind, intellect and the ego, is the eightfold lower nature of God.

Though all the bodies are embodied by the same God or all beings are forms of God but once in the body the ego deludes the being and it starts thinking that this body is ‘I’; I am performing the actions; everything is happening for me; I have to achieve, I have to succeed, I am the owner of all possessions etc. This ego or the false sense of I-ness deludes us and we fail to know that we all are God and not separate men/women. This ego or the false sense of I-ness is the only cause of all the problems that exist in our lives including death and re-birth.

The true self-realisation by the being, who is in fact God, means realization by him that he is God, not ‘I’/man/woman. Until a person is freed from the ego and realizes that he (the being) is God, he has not known and attained God. Due to this only, the famous poet saint Kabir said –

When ‘I’ was, then God was not,Now when God is, I am not.

Till the veil of delusion called ego is within us we cannot know God and till God is known we cannot become free from worries, sorrows, diseases, ageing, death and re-birth. This means that the biggest enemy of the human beings is their ego, which does not let us have the self-realisation that we are all God. And as soon as the ego is destroyed we get amazing boons in our lives.

Lord Krishna says that the first boon of annihilation of the ego and resultant God-realisation is peace and happiness. The next boon of attaining God is freedom from diseases and ageing. And the ultimate boon of attaining God-hood is freedom from death and constant changing of the bodies by the being. It means attaining immortality and living forever in the same body. In fact in the end of His discourse in the Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna makes the most remarkable statement when he says that when one is freed from ego one becomes fit for attaining the state of God. On realizing that one is God one becomes God and then worries, diseases and old age disappear from life. And to top it all one can then remain in the same body forever, that is, one becomes immortal.

From these words of Lord Krishna it is clear that the ego is the biggest hurdle in our journey towards God and in our endeavor towards peace and happiness and, hence, it should be annihilated. But what is the way of doing so?

For this Lord Krishna has revealed a very powerful and unfailing method through which the sense of I-ness or ego is quickly annihilated. This wonderful practice has been elucidated in a very easy to follow manner in the book You Are God written by Shashi Verma. Just log on to the website www.highestwisdom.com to know more about this way of destroying the ego and becoming God.

Ending the Karmic cycle

Hardly anyone in the world is today unaware of the law of Karma. Some who might not have heard of it should surely have come across the saying ‘as you sow so you reap’. It is an inescapable law of nature that whatever good or bad is done, its result comes to a person likewise. Good for good and bad for bad.

It is also said that one comes into the world because of the force of the Karmas, that is, to pay them off. But this seems to be a vicious cycle, for in the process of a new life one invariably ends up creating further Karma. Does it mean then that there is no end to this process that brings endless suffering and misery?

In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna declares that the being can surely emerge from this vicious cycle by following the words of God. He says that all actions taking place in the world are performed by the attributes of nature (the doer-power of God), and not by the being. If this is true that the being is not the doer, then why is he responsible for any action or how can he earn any Karma? In other words why should he be rewarded or punished for any action?

The being becomes responsible for actions because he assumes their doership. He thinks that he is the doer of the actions and thus he reaps the results in the form of boons and banes. Lord Krishna says that if the being stopped assuming responsibility for actions taking place from his body then he would be free from the resulting suffering and misery.

But this is easier said than done. How can we stop assuming doership? In this world right from early childhood we are taught that we are responsible for our actions. And as our actions, so are the results or the fruit.

To pull the beings out of this mess, Lord Krishna reveals a very easy but potent practice in the Bhagavad Gita through which the being is completely freed of the sense of doership. Through this practice the feeling becomes ingrained within that the attributes or doer-power of God is doing all actions. And hence whatever the fruits of the actions, those too are taken care of by God.

But what does one gain from this practice you might ask?

To begin with one becomes free of all worries. This results in an end to all misery and suffering and even diseases. All one’s past Karmas are paid off or annihilated in the same life and one becomes free of the seemingly unending cycle of birth and death. It means that one does not grow old and remains ever young and even death is pushed infinitely into the future. In other words one becomes immortal.

So if you wish to know more about this amazing practice then get your hands on the book You Are God by Shashi Verma that explains this practice in detail. For ordering your copy and learning more about the words of God in the Bhagavad Gita log on to the website www.highestwisdom.com

The way to everlasting peace and happiness

In this world if there is anything missing in spite of all the progress and success we see all around, it is peace and happiness. Science sure has made life more comfortable and easier, but when it comes to allaying the restlessness of the human mind it has failed. The mindless race to achieve higher and higher and the ever burgeoning desires have resulted in anger and frustration. And these have mushroomed into broken marriages, dissatisfaction at work, mental imbalance, violence and even terrorism.

In such a scenario the much disappointed and harried man turned to various means for bringing solace to his mind. He tried meditation, prayers, Yogic exercises, chanting of hymns, music, dance and what not. These might have brought some relief but it proved to be temporary, lasting only as long as one was engaged in such activities. Today we see so many Gurus and so-called spiritual teachers, each propagating his or her own method. But none has so far been able to provide any permanent cure for the ailing human mind.

It is said that turning to God brings one permanent peace and happiness in life. We see so much religious activity in the world. Why then have we failed to be peaceful and happy? Could it be because our methods are wrong or we have failed to understand the words of God appearing in the scriptures?

In the beginning of the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna says that a man who has steadied his intellect becomes free from fear and anger and goes on to attain peace. And in peace his sorrows are completely destroyed. To drive home his point Lord Krishna even poses a very vital question – To one without peace, how can there be happiness?

But what is the way of attaining this peace and happiness that Lord Krishna has talked about. To achieve this, he elucidates the golden path to God that very quickly brings peace and happiness in the life of one who follows it.

This very golden path to God that brings everlasting peace and happiness in the life of its follower has been explained in detail in the book You Are God. This wonderful and unique work has been authored by Shashi Verma who has brought out the true essence of the words of God in the Bhagavad Gita so that the entire humanity could benefit from it and ring in an era of peace and happiness. Wishes fulfilled

It might shock you out of your wits if somebody told you that desires and their nonfulfilment leads one to death. But then you might say that everyone has wishes and everyone endeavours all one’s life to try and fulfill them. However it is also a bitter truth that not all desires nurtured by a human reach the point of fructification. And nonfulfilment invariably leads to despair and frustration.

This is exactly what Lord Krishna points out to Arjun in the Bhagavad Gita. To quote his exact words he says that from attachment with objects arises desire, from desire arises anger, anger leads to delusion, delusion causes confusion of memory, confusion of memory results in loss of intellect and this causes a being to perish.

Does that mean that one should give up all desires?

This is what all so-called spiritual Gurus have been preaching. Be free of desires! But if one has no desire, then how shall there be progress on earth? How shall there be inventions and discoveries? How shall new things come into being? Won’t desirelessness lead to a stagnant world and society?

The words of Lord Krishna are not to be interpreted literally. They hide within a very deep meaning. Later on in the Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna reveals a spiritual practice which he calls Kamdhenu or the divine fulfiller of all desires. Is it not a contradiction that at one stage he seems to ask us to be free of desires and at another he reveals a practice for fulfilment of all wishes?

At first glance it might seem so. But when one delves deeper, one finds that the practice suggested by Lord Krishna is a method of surrendering or offering all one’s desires to God, for on doing so these are invariably fulfilled. Does it mean then that all that one has ever wished or desired or dreamt of can be attained by this practice?

Sure seems like it! And this very wonderful, yet very easy, practice has been correctly interpreted and explained for the very first time in the book titled You are God by its author Shashi Verma. So if you have dared to dream of something different in the world and are finding it hard to make it come true, then this path suggested by Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita might be the breakthrough you have been looking for.

God is Supreme Knowledge and Light

Different people have different perceptions regarding the form of God. Most worship idols or images and others worship the prophets who were actually the messengers of God and who came to the earth to bring the words of God to the mankind. These words of God have been preserved in the holy scriptures of the various religions.

If we look carefully in the scriptures we shall get a hint about God and his form. The Bible says that in the beginning was the word, the word was with God and the word was God. Ancient Indian scriptures the Upanishads also state that Supreme Knowledge is God. If we really believe these scriptures then it becomes quite evident that God is Supreme Knowledge. This Supreme Knowledge, which is God, is the one that has to be worshipped and till we do so we shall not be able to know or realise God.

In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna makes a very enlightening statement. He says that those in whom ignorance is destroyed by Supreme Knowledge to them the Supreme Knowledge reveals the Supreme Light like the sun.

What is this Supreme Knowledge?

This has been made clear in the Bhagavad Gita by Lord Krishna. The book You Are God written by Shashi Verma which is based on the Bhagavad Gita reveals the Supreme Knowledge in a very easy manner whereby even a person who is not much into the reading of cryptic religious scriptures can understand it. Lord Krishna says that the fact that all is God is the Supreme Knowledge and when this knowledge is realised then God in the form of Supreme Light can be seen with the open eyes.

But just knowing that all is God is not enough. Till this enters deep into one’s self as a realisation one does not really know God. And this can be done only by the very potent practice divulged by Lord Krishna. This path has been called the quickest and surest path to God and the method of following it has been explained in the book You Are God.

Writes the author Shashi Verma that by following this path of Supreme Knowledge one is able to see God in the form of light in just four weeks. Actually by following this path the Supreme Knowledge gets imbibed and the thought that all is God becomes firm. And this results in the vision of the Supreme Light which once seen can be seen any time any where.

Only forgetfullness stops us from knowing God

People think that by just offering a few words of prayers to God daily is enough to win his grace. What more everyone thinks that his or her prayers are the most effective and the true way to God. They hardly know that their methods of worshipping are but ways of rendering that ego even stronger which makes one distant from God.

In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna suggests a path that destroys the ego and links one to God. But this method of devotion is very different. In it one needs to be devoted to God each and every moment. Not just a few minutes every day. However the question arises that if one is expected to be devoted every moment, how shall one fulfill one’s worldly duties, how shall one work, how shall one earn a living?

This is the beauty of this method. Although one has to be conscious about being devoted to God each moment, there is no problem at all in carrying on one’s daily routine. In fact one does not need to allocate any special time or bring about any change in one’s life. One need not go to any place of worship or sit alone in any secluded place. Through this method one can be devoted each moment as easily in a crowded market place as in a quiet room.

This wonderful method that was once revealed thousands of years ago by Lord Krishna to his friend Arjun, has once again come to the light through the book You Are God written by Shashi Verma. This amazing method has been called the supreme secret by Lord Krishna and the author claims that through it one can see God with open eyes within four weeks.

On reading the book You Are God it becomes clear that this method is very easy to follow. But there is only one problem. That is to remember it all the time. So as one engages in this method of devotion, one realises that not one’s worries, not one’s circumstances and nothing else but one’s forgetfulness is the only obstacle on the way to God. In other words it is not difficult to understand this method or to follow it. It is very easy. But one tends to forget, and remembering each moment proves the biggest challenge.

To know more about this amazing method that is coming out in the world for the first time in thousands of years read the book You are God. Log on to the website www.highestwisdom.com

The battle within

Mahabharat was one of the biggest battle ever fought and in it Lord Krishna sided with the righteous Pandavas to help them destroy the mighty army of the evil Kauravs. And it was before this battle that Lord Krishna gave the teaching that came to be known as the Bhagavad Gita. These words of God are aimed at knowing who we truly are and how we can reach the state of Godhood by overcoming our inner enemies.

We too are all the time engaged in a terrible battle. Each moment a war wages within us between the thoughts of good and bad. The good thoughts try to force us into good actions, while the bad incite us into evil deeds. And in the process the poor mind is left confused as to what it should do – follow the good or give in to the bad.

Lord Krishna, through an eternal ancient wisdom, asks the mind to opt for the path of surrender to God. He says that man has no control over the good or bad thoughts and actions. All these are predetermined by the forces of nature. Trying to decipher this mystery of the good and the bad only makes the mind confused and deluded. Hence Lord Krishna suggests that the mind should seek recourse of God seated in the heart of all beings.

By simply witnessing all actions, good or evil, happening outside, and dedicating these to the God in the heart, the mind becomes free of the influence of good and bad. And this puts an end to the tussle everyone in life goes through. Not that the war between the good and evil stops. But when the actions are surrendered to God, the mind is no longer affected by the raging war or its constant ups and downs.

But what is the way of surrendering the actions to God seated in the heart?

This ancient practice has come out into the open once again in the present age. And it has been very clearly explained in the book You Are God written by Shashi Verma which is actually based on the teachings of Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita. In a very logical manner the author leads one to the conclusion that there is no way out of this mess created by our constant tussle between good and bad, except the method put forward by Lord Krishna.

So if you wish to come out triumphant in this eternal battle between good and bad your best bet is this book You Are God that is already proving to be a miraculous boon for thousands of readers world wide.

How to live like a witness

If you are even a bit spiritually inclined or you have a desire to know God then you must have surely heard of the saying that you should live life like a witness. One should just be a witness to all that is going around us all the time. This is however easier said than done. For as soon as some action happens the thought of its being good or bad, right or wrong arises in the mind. It is very difficult to be just a witness, without being judgmental about things. What then is the meaning of being a witness and how can one reach this state?

In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna reveals that actions from all the bodies are performed by the attributes of nature (doer-power of God), and not by the beings. He further says that when a person perceives no other doer other than the attributes of nature, he knows the God beyond the attributes. He then attains God. This is the actual state of being a witness and in this state one has the realisation that each action happening in the world is done by the doer-power of God. One then does not get involved in these actions or their good-bad nature.

What are the benefits of being a witness and seeing all actions as being performed by the nature and the self (being) as action less?

Lord Krishna says that when a human realises that all actions are of the nature and no one has any control over these, then he sees beyond this world and attains God. And the result of all this is that one becomes free of all worries, sorrows, tensions and even diseases. Then even old age is overcome and one could live on happily in the same body for ever.

This seems too good to be true but this is exactly what has been promised by Lord Krishna in the scripture Bhagavad Gita. But if you find it hard to believe then just listen to what Lord Krishna has to say further. He says that one who becomes a true witness and crosses over the attributes or doer-power of God becomes fit to be God himself. One then becomes God who is unchangeable, imperishable and free of all miseries of life. One then remains happy and joyous each moment, in every circumstance, and then sorrows, diseases, old age and death cannot touch one.

Wouldn’t you like to know more about this amazing process of becoming a true witness? In fact Lord Krishna has suggested a very potent practice through which one can become a true witness and attain the state of God in the same life time. This very practice has been explained in an easy to understand way in the book You Are God written by Shashi Verma. So if you really want to get to the essence of this process of becoming a witness log on to the website www.highestwisdom.com

Immortality of the soul or the body

The Holy Bible contains the words of God and it says that if a man believes in God he shall have everlasting life. It also says that if a man keeps God’s saying he shall never see death.

In the ancient Indian scripture the Bhagavad Gita too, Lord Krishna says that once a being crosses over the three attributes, he is completely freed from birth, death, old age and sorrow and attains immortality.

Most people who read these scriptures think that God has spoken about the immortality of the soul. That is, when God is known and realised the soul never dies. But Lord Krishna says in the very beginning of the Bhagavad Gita that the soul is imperishable. It never dies but just keeps changing the bodies, just like we discard old clothes and wear new ones.

If the soul is imperishable why would God speak of making it immortal? Could it mean that we have wrongly interpreted the words of God? Could it also mean that if the soul is already immortal, God is speaking about the immortality of the physical form?

It seems unbelievable at first that man can become immortal and live in the same body forever. But this is exactly what Lord Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita, that is, one who crosses over the attributes of nature and attains God’s consciousness is freed from old age and death and attains immortality. In the Bible too the same has been said more than once. At one place it is said that whoever believes in God would not perish but would have eternal life. This proves conclusively that God is hinting that we can become physically immortal.

Disbelieving the words of God is disrespecting God whom we all worship. But you might ask, how is it possible to become immortal?

This too has been explained in detail in the Bhagavad Gita where Lord Krishna puts forward a very secret method of knowing and attaining God through which even the impossible feat of becoming immortal can be achieved. Although this method was there in the Bhagavad Gita it was never understood. It is said that a time comes when God manifests. That time has come and God is manifestin in the form of understanding of His words written in the scriptures.

In the light of this understanding the secret method of attaining God and immortality has been revealed and it has been elucidated in a very simple way in the book You Are God written by Shashi Verma. So if you wish to become free from disease and old age and live on forever in the same body and if you have the faith and belief in the words of God even if they appear out-of-the-world, then log on to the website www.highestwisdom.com
