God is Supreme Knowledge and Light

Different people have different perceptions regarding the form of God. Most worship idols or images and others worship the prophets who were actually the messengers of God and who came to the earth to bring the words of God to the mankind. These words of God have been preserved in the holy scriptures of the various religions.

If we look carefully in the scriptures we shall get a hint about God and his form. The Bible says that in the beginning was the word, the word was with God and the word was God. Ancient Indian scriptures the Upanishads also state that Supreme Knowledge is God. If we really believe these scriptures then it becomes quite evident that God is Supreme Knowledge. This Supreme Knowledge, which is God, is the one that has to be worshipped and till we do so we shall not be able to know or realise God.

In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna makes a very enlightening statement. He says that those in whom ignorance is destroyed by Supreme Knowledge to them the Supreme Knowledge reveals the Supreme Light like the sun.

What is this Supreme Knowledge?

This has been made clear in the Bhagavad Gita by Lord Krishna. The book You Are God written by Shashi Verma which is based on the Bhagavad Gita reveals the Supreme Knowledge in a very easy manner whereby even a person who is not much into the reading of cryptic religious scriptures can understand it. Lord Krishna says that the fact that all is God is the Supreme Knowledge and when this knowledge is realised then God in the form of Supreme Light can be seen with the open eyes.

But just knowing that all is God is not enough. Till this enters deep into one’s self as a realisation one does not really know God. And this can be done only by the very potent practice divulged by Lord Krishna. Writes the author Shashi Verma that by following this path of Supreme Knowledge one is able to see God in the form of light in just four weeks. Actually by following this path the Supreme Knowledge gets imbibed and the thought that all is God becomes firm. And this results in the vision of the Supreme Light which once seen can be seen any time any where.
